People are hard to read. Hard to understand.
If only people were books, and the way to understanding them is just to spend time flipping through the pages. But when put like that, people are like books. There's the cover, which is our appearance and of course the famous phrase 'don't judge the book by its cover' because the content could be different. It's like the bible. Just a plain cover, yet the content can be so enriching and important. Similarly, someone could look plain, or normal, but that person could turn out to be the most interesting people we've ever met. And as for understanding people, that just requires time. Time to flip through the pages; time to talk and understand each other's inner feelings. Time and effort, key essentials to understanding a book, people.
/
Anyway, this few days have been rather busy for me. And I went shopping again on Saturday and I'm going shopping again tomorrow. For someone who doesn't particularly love shopping I'm sure doing it a lot this week.
If only university had school uniform as well. Then I won't have to like wear non uniform clothes everyday. It's such a chore to think of clothes to wear. I miss uniforms. :(
/
So, ANU, NUS, or Imperial? No people, I still haven't decided. I need to toss a three-headed coin coz I'm in a tri-lemma. :(

Today, I went to KL, by public transport, for the first time.
Everyone clap hands! *applause*
Of course, with my sister. We went to pavilion, times square, lowyat, and lastly sungEi wang. Wow KL is freaking crazy okay. I have so many complaints for KL after living in Singapore for two years.
Firstly, the public transport. We should standardize all the different lines, so that when someone wants to change we don have to tap out and tap in again thats just so troublesome. And there should be signboards telling us where to go! And I have a phobia for those open door thingies coz the ones in kl just doesn't work. Even after you tap your card the thing doesnt open, or even if it opens, it closes when you're nearing it or something. Super scary :( They should have some green light where they show that the card is detected. Some has, but some doesn't. And everyone of them should have a touch and go scanner. If not we have to keep jumping and cutting queues. :(
Secondly, (gee I forgot), ... , ... OH TRAFFIC LIGHTS. TRAFFIC LIGHTS PEOPLE. They are there for a reason. I seriously don't know how to cross the road in KL. It's like people don't use traffic lights at all. My sis says in Kl, its not you watch the cars, but the cars watch you. That means people have the right of way? Huh? And it's like we dash across the minute there are no cars even though it's a red man. It makes no sense I mean HELLO traffic light? Green man? Argh. So aksdjfapf adogangadg.
Okay anyway sungei wang is a great place to shop (: It's like far east only much cheaper which is awesome (: Spent quite a lot there and I'm so pleased with myself I don't have to shop anymore till like end of the year. .. Haha, no la. I think i'll shop more. But anyway I still prefer online shopping. Can sit at home and just look at the screen (:
LALALA. Eureka is interesting! (: Tomorrow I'm watching tian shi and yao guai with winston. Angels and demons. XD

God made women out of men.
Interesting, isn't it?
And dinosaurs are cool. I wish I lived in the time that dinosaurs existed. Can you imagine seeing real dinosaurs? Like dinosaurs whose feet alone is bigger than our bedrooms? To sleep in their footprints. To treat their big pile of crap as a sofa (once it hardens). And slide down their long long necks! And sit on their wings for a ride! Jurassic Park sounds like fun.
This afternoon I was wondering about life in NUS. And now at 11pm I don't want to go NUS. What the heck is wrong with me why am I so fickle. If only Imperial rejected me and ANU rejects me then I won't have to decide. I would be left with no choice but to go NUS which is actually quite a good opportunity (forget all my previous entries).
Taman Negara trip has made me rather exhausted. Today I watched a new series 'eureka' and also finished up Season 5 of Grey's Anatomy. Touching touching ending. Don't really care about the deaths though. Or the non-deaths. We'll have to wait for season 6 I guess. It sucks that all series have ended and now there's this uber long 3 months break till the next season starts.
Joshua Ng just completed his econs project on 'How long will you remain single?' It's kinda math-sy, I shall read the report now to see what stuff they found out through their surveys. XD

Hello. I'm back from Taman Negara! (: It was an awesome 3 days trip.
This was Day 1, where we took a 3 hour bus ride from KL to reach the jetty. And this above is a hibiscus tree! Malaysia's national flower people (: So pretty. Then we went for out boat ride to the resort.
The boat ride there is 2 and a half hours long. I know right, so super long. I thought it was gonna be really bad and boring but surprisingly it wasn't that terrible. But we did sleep for a while in the boat. For HIMYM people, my sis and I played zitchdog on the boat, not looking for dogs of course. Looking for wildlife. (: We saw a flock of seagulls but we were not in time to snap their pictures.

It's so pretty at night. (: This was the first night, and we were going for our night jungle walk. The walk was just a short one, where we saw a snake, a bird and some insects. (: Day 2, we woke up and went for jungle trekking as well as canopy walkway. This is the longest canopy walkway in the world okay, don't play play. It was nice, though when you look down it can be quite scary. And it was really long indeed. As in there were a lot of platforms in between but overall it was a long canopy walkway.
Caterpillar. (: I like caterpilars. I used to collect them in Puay Chai and rare them at home but I can't remember what happened after that. Wanted to touch this one but I was scared it was poisonous. This is a liyana tree (: It's a strong tree and you can hang on it like Tarzan. Really. We tried. And they orang asli chop up the tree branches and drink the water that drops out from the branches. We tried the water too and surprisingly it tastes just like normal water. Fresh water from the trees. (: That root is so unique right? In the afternoon, we went for rapid shooting. (: It was fun! And we got all wet. And once we were all wet, they brought us to visit the orang aslis. So weird right, go visit them when we just looked like we had a swim or something. Anyway, the orang asli people there are so cool. They have the puffy hair like the Africans. And their skin colour is like the Africans too. I've never seen such orang asli-s in Malaysia before. And they're quite cute too (:
At night, we went for night jungle safari. Too bad we didn't see many animals. We didn't even see wild boars. :( Coz this night jungle safari isn't like a zoo at night those kinds. It is the one that really have to go and find in the jungle, and in this case a kelapa sawit farm. Oil Palm Plantation.
Day 3, took the boat ride back to the jetty and the bus back to kl. And the short trip was over. (: But it was fun nevertheless. I encourage people to go! Just for the experience. (: Go with a group though or like bf gf or something. Oh Oh. There were lotsa angmohs/guailous/matsallehs/caucasians. (: But nah, not goodlooking. lol. Ending off, with my favourite ice cream of all time - PADDLE POP! (:

Today is J card day!
J for Jocelyn (: J is for Jubilant. J is for Joyful. J is for Joyous. J is for Joker.
J is for everything happy.
J is for Jusco. XD
I should be Jusco marketing director or something.
Joanna's exams are ending today! Then she'll be home for like 3 months before she zooms off to Scotland. So then she'll probably bring me shopping (sigh.) and then I'll force her to watch movies (yay!) and she's bringing back grey's for me to watch! (: Speaking of series, my himym season finale is taking so long to download. Been trying and trying since yesterday. Normally it just takes two hours. But now. 18 hours. GG.
I'm degenerating. It's funny. It reminds me of Peter's sms to me, saying that I was degenerating and once his exams are over we'll go out so that I stop degenerating. Yeah. :( I'm getting lazier and lazier to go out. Nothing seems that appealing anymore. Not even, to buy sugus, or to buy m&ms. I prefer just to stay at home in front of my computer doing absolutely nothing. The hassle of changing and putting on going out clothes and wearing shoes and walking/sitting in the car seems like such a turn-off. In the going out sense.
I think I should continue with my nus hall applications and all. The most fun thing about registering for a university is choosing the rooms! And thinking of how to decorate the room. XD Me likey.

Pictures! With new Camera! (: On new layout! (: This is what happens when freshly baked cheesetarts go for a roller coaster ride. (:
 And I love mushrooms.
Yeah two photos only, lazy to upload more. I'm still trying to figure out the technical problems of my new layout. (:

Yes, I changed my blog skin again. I know the last time I said I will not change for a long time but eh, hands itchy. (: Like it? I think non-bloggers always wonder why people's blogs are so nice but they don't realize it's not our work. CLICK.
(: I'm going to post some pictures up soon (: No more comments, it's back to tagboard! I don't know how to enable comments so no choice, have to use the shoutbox.

Today a letter came in the mailbox.
NUS is offering me ASEAN scholarship for science course.
And they want the acceptance form completed and sent to them by mail by thursday. Not much time to think eh? So just accept first. (:
Finally, the letter came. Not that the wait was agonizing anyway. I'm still waiting for imperial's letter. and ANU. Those are more agonizing. Haha (:
fooolooolooo. That's the update for today. Vince isn't up as I've mentioned to a few friends because of the h1n1 cases, which is why my msn nick on sat was 'why oh why h1n1 kl dude'. Which leaves me partner-less to watch star trek and angels and demons. :(
Online shopping is fun (: BYEBYE.

I'm not talking about MAN U.
Sigh. Once again we lost.
To China the land of smart brilliant strong handsome people, just because they have so many many people to choose from. If Malaysia had that many people we'll be and strong and handsome and .. less stupid, probably.
Anyway, if only badminton was like football.
Play consecutively for like say 1 hour, have a 15 minutes break, then play another hour. And then by the end of those 2 hours we see who has the highest score. But the score will probably be like.. 50 to 42 or something like that. And if only we could change players all the time! Haha. Then it'll be like track and field. I still miss the old system though. It's much more fun and the match lasts longer. Today, the pastor was commenting about the Perak case and he was very funny. He said 'I don't understand. I'm a very simple minded person. It's like there's this house with one guy staying in it and a stranger comes along and said it is his house. Then the court says that the house belongs to the stranger but the guy staying there can continue staying in the house. I don't understand.' I miss high school. And i miss jc. If I could live one year over again, I would choose 2008, and I would do things much differently.

I realized I haven't like replied the comments people left behind in my previous entries. Coz I'm like really lazy to reply one by one so I'll just do them here okay? (:
Xuxin: Thanks for your advice! But Seira said that Fujitsu doesn't withstand pressure and TEMPERATURE. Her laptop screen cracked. =.= Anyway I have a new Canon camera now and its AWESOME. (:
Bro: Yeah positiveness runs out after rejections every now and then. :(
Kimi: Thanks! (: Can I please be the building in Prague?
/
I just came back from some Sime Darby thingy. Was pretty good, I must say. Though there's not much elimination after the first round. As long as you can speak English, you can proceed to the online assessment part, which was pretty simple as well. I finished my 300 short personality test questions pretty fast though, and when the rest took quite a while to come out it got me wondering whether I did anything wrongly. Hmm.
Anyway, met more new people, exchanged contacts. (: Met a guy from HCI as well. Btw the discussion was about the implementation of Maths and Science in English. Seira went today too, and Wern Chia's going tomorrow. I hope all of us advance to the next stage, although the lady did tell me that they might not want to sponsor for Mathematics. :(
/
Facebook is getting really quizzy now. 'How well do you know me' quizzes are like everywhere and everyone is making and doing them. And of course I joined in the fun and created a lame dumb quiz of my own. (: I was really bored.
People who read my blog, though, will know that I'm currently obsessing over HIMYM! (: And I'm now downloading the latest episode. This is bad. :( I have now run out of episodes to watch, coz now I've caught up with the weekly screening on tv! :( I need to find a new series. Chuck season 2 maybe.
I like how the websites that HIMYM refers to are really websites online, for example:
www.canadiansexacts.org (seriously it's not porn, again. You just enter and click on the various sex acts names and you see a picture of a guy in a suit XD with funny excuses/comments below as to why the description is unavailable. Or something.)
Okay my episode is almost finished downloading! BYEBYE (:

Monday, May 11, 2009,4:26 PM
Yeah I was like internet-less for the past two days and it was horrible. See what an internet junkie I am. I'm addicted to the computer, and yet when I'm on the internet, I'm still bored to bits. Like today, the internet finally worked and I'm uber happy but I'm uber bored coz after 1 hour there's nothing left to do. Haha.
Well I'm starting to get nervous for Wednesday already. Sime Darby interview thingy. But you know what, I'm not going to care. Coz I know I won't get it anyway, so I'm just going to go with a 'whatever' attitude. So sick of interviews, so sick of getting rejected already. :( If I'm poor i'll just go to NUS then. Screw scholarships. Although NUS has yet to offer me ASEAN whereas some people got it already. :(
Well. Yeah. I need to laugh a bit so I think I'm going to go watch How I met your mother now. (: After a horrifying experience few days ago, I am reminded to check the length of the video and the size of the video before I download the video on Ares. O.o
Yikes.
Byebye.

Thursday, May 07, 2009,8:51 PM
We shouldn't eat pigs anymore. (Sorry to muslim readers btw.) Because we have swine flu.
We shouldn't eat chicken too. We'll get bird flu.
Stay away from cows. You don't want to get mad cow disease.
We'll just eat fish okay. But some are poisionous.
Okay we'll be vegetarian. And we'll eat tons of fruits. Except that some fruits are too heaty/too cold/too acidic/too alkaline.
Maybe we should just stop eating. In case we die. :(
So we'll just not eat. And everyday we drive to work with an empty stomache. Then we'll be hungry, and we won't be able to concentrate on driving. :( And we'll crash. And die.
Hmmm.. Driving is a bad idea. Let's all just walk. It's less scary.
Then there'll be snatch thieves. And we'll get hurt and possibly be kidnapped and killed. Or what if there are hailstorms? We'll be stoned to death.
:( Stay at home la. And watch tv, and use the internet. Just hope that the waves don't kill you. Or you die of exhaustion.
Get rid of everything in your house. So there's nothing to rob. And you won't be killed.
Then chop of your boobs and for guys, that thing that's in between your legs. (I don't like saying the word haha) So that we won't get raped.
Okay?
After all this. The final thing to do is: Stop breathing. Coz we might breathe in toxic air or some biohazard poison whatever.
Ready? 1, 2, 3. *stopped breathing* thinks: 'YAY I managed to avoid dying!'
/ Sigh. I'm bored. Not really. How I met your mother is really entertaining. I thought it was getting kinda boring and repeating at the start of the 4th season. But maybe it was because I had to wait for hours before I can finish downloading it and watching it. Anyway, this one line made me change my mind.
It was what Barney said when Lily tried to console him about him getting some one night stand pregnant, and that it might be some false alarm. 'Please, Lily, every part of my body does 110% and if one of my Michael Phelps got loose, he is swimming for the gold!' Something to that extent. I cannot remember the exact line. LOL. So funny. (:
And the episode when Robin found guys who fight sexy was so funny too.
/ Anyway guys, my point above: Do things in moderation! Don't be over paranoid!
Seriously, anything we do, we can just drop dead any moment anyway, when it's God's will. So yeah. I say we continue breathing, continue eating, continue driving, and continue living! (:
Except driving, for me. No. :(
/ Yesterday's surprise gathering was so SUCCESSFUL (: She was shocked to bits. Haha. I'm so proud of us. We're getting good at surprising people (: Yay. Two Times now. I can't wait for the next. Actually there's no next already :( Sad.
Today I got an email from Yayasan Sime Darby asking for second screening to increase their pool of potential candidates. Which got me thinking, 'huh why, what was wrong with their first screening?' HAH. Bad judgement. Bad call. That's why they need to call more. Or maybe they're just bored. And want to play with us. :( Sigh. Anyway it's a group discussion and online assessment next wed. Wish me luck! (:
LALALA (: BYEBYE,

Hi one, hi all.
Job status: Unemployed. Mood status: Cheery, with the occasional dampening of spirit. Looks status: Who cares. Brain status: Deteriorating like a geometric progression.
I shan't give up! I'm going to try kumon ss2 tmr (: But I'm scared I don't know how to do the maths. Maybe kumon centerpoint didn't call me back because they thought my maths suck. :( Oh actually I'm kinda employed at pizza uno but the timings are a bit late, so I see what else can come up in the meantime, before I start work officially on Friday. (:
While I was looking for the job at OU today, I went shopping too. Bought a top at some kitchen shop. Kitschen, actually. I have no idea what that stands for but their clothes are not bad. (: I just hope it doesn't come from a korean or jap street fashion or something. If it does I'll probably burn the top I have.
No offense again by the way. My personal style, and if you don't like it/don't like me, don't read. End of story. CERITA HABIS.
I'm not going down for AJC College Day because I'm plain lazy. Though I'm super proud that our ODAC president is the valedictorian! (: Wish I can be there for his speech but, going down all the way just for a ceremony (in formal clothes!!) is so not worth it. Even if it means seeing vince and classmates and all, but there won't be much time anyway. I rather go down another time or something.
I like shopping, but I'm lazy. How? :( Someone shop for me. I shall hire a personal shopper.
I wanna be a forensic scientist. with a maths degree. (:
Oh yes, I'm going to get a new camera and a new laptop and a printer before I ciao to overseas. What laptop brand should i get? Acer sucks, please don't ask me to get acer. Maybe ASUS or something. or FUJITSU? Or ... yeah. Suggestions! Preferably something that can withstand pressure and also hard impact. (: In case I drop my laptop which is highly probable. I want to get a MAC, but i'm scared that i may not know how to use it in uni and then my files get crazy and all.
I hate thinking about tech-y stuff.

Profile
Hi. I'm Jocelyn. This is my profile as you can see. (: I am still searching for my path in life. Cliché much? I need advice guidance and this is just a journal of my daily happenings. I love food. And I love people. Actually well, I don’t. Not all the time, at least. I don’t listen to music much for some reason although I do like music. I like dancing, I think I’m quite okay at it but I wouldn’t dare to dance in public. Something about shaking your body in public just doesn’t seem right. I hate backstabbers. Don’t like me then say it straight to my face you don’t have to act all shy about it. Though I know I’m pretty lovable. That’s a lie.
